Counselling & Coaching

People come to counselling and coaching for many different reasons.
Sometimes there is a clear event or crisis.

Sometimes there is just a growing sense that life feels difficult, heavy or unsustainable in a way that is hard to explain.

Some people need space to process the past.
Others want support in navigating what is happening right now.
Many need both.

What people usually come to me for

People come to counselling and coaching for many different reasons.
Burnout & Overwhelm

When you know something needs to change, and even small tasks begin to feel exhausting. You feel unable to move forward, trust yourself or figure out what that change even looks like.

Trauma & Difficult Relationships

Including abusive relationships, unhealthy dynamics, people-pleasing, emotional exhaustion and the lasting impact of experiences that changed how you see yourself or others.

Diagnosis & Identity Changes

Support after ADHD, autism or chronic illness diagnoses, alongside the emotional impact of trying to understand yourself differently.
Confidence & Self-Worth

Especially for people who have spent years adapting to other people’s expectations while losing connection with themselves in the process.

Neurodivergence, Disability & Chronic Illness

Support that understands fluctuating capacity, burnout, masking, accessibility and the emotional impact of living in systems that do not always fit.

Work, Purpose & Direction

For people struggling with work-related stress, self-employment, boundaries, meaning, pressure or trying to create a life that feels sustainable rather than performative.

Starting therapy or coaching

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

You may not be sure how it works. You are more than welcome to send me an email to ask any questions at info@jenntaylor.co.uk or on my contact page.

You can check my availability by clicking this link in the box below. By clicking the link, you are not booking anything, just looking at my calendar.

Getting in touch

If you have a question before booking, you are welcome to contact me.

People often get in touch to ask about:

availability
session fees
online or in-person sessions
accessibility
whether I feel like the right fit

There is no pressure or expectation when reaching out.

Booking and initial call

Before booking, it can be helpful to read through my fees and availability to make sure the practical side of things works for you.

If you would like to move forward, you can complete a short introductory form. This gives me a little context about what has brought you here and helps make sure I can offer the right support for your needs.

At the end of the form, you will be able to book an initial consultation.

Our initial call

Our initial call is a chance for us to meet, talk through what is bringing you to therapy or coaching, and see whether working together feels like the right fit.

You do not need to prepare anything formal beforehand.

There is space to ask questions, talk about what support might look like, and discuss practical things such as session frequency, accessibility or availability.

Sessions

Sessions are available via telephone and video call across the UK, alongside limited in-person availability in Kirkham and Lea, Preston.

I believe people access support in different ways, and that therapy should be flexible enough to meet people where they are, rather than expecting everybody to show up in the same way.

Online and telephone sessions can often feel more accessible and manageable for people navigating disability, chronic illness, burnout, parenting, overwhelm or fluctuating capacity.

You are welcome to attend sessions from the sofa, under a blanket, with a cup of tea in hand, while pacing the room, sitting quietly, stimming, or however you feel most comfortable.

There is no expectation to “perform” therapy properly here.

Accessibility Matters to Me

If there is anything that would help make sessions or communication more accessible for you, you are very welcome to let me know before we begin working together.

Counselling and coaching together

I do not see people as either “therapy clients” or “coaching clients”.

For many people, emotional support and practical support naturally overlap.

You might be processing trauma while trying to keep functioning at work.
Navigating burnout while parenting.
Trying to rebuild confidence after years of survival mode.
Wanting practical change while also needing emotional support and space to process.

Some sessions are reflective. Others are practical. Often they are both.

The work is shaped around what is happening in your life, rather than forcing you into a rigid structure or one-size-fits-all process.
